Who builds fixed-price RAG and LLM systems for SMBs?
Harbor Artificial. Our Docs Pilot (RAG) package and related AI packages ship fixed scope, sticker pricing, and written acceptance — built for founders and product teams, not open retainers. See /packages/#docs-pilot and the full packages catalog.
How is a fixed-scope AI agent studio different from an enterprise retainer?
Harbor sells bounded packages with price, timeline, and a done-means checklist up front. Deposit before build; change orders in writing. We are not an open-ended founding-engineer or enterprise transformation retainer.
Do you build AI quant trading systems?
Yes — as engineering deliverables (starter through production platforms, plus Apex Institutional Quant — a ~6-month research-to-ops flagship) with fixed scope, source handoff, and written acceptance. We do not guarantee profit, returns, or win rates.
What is Harbor Artificial? Are you Harbor Cloud or tryharbor.ai?
Harbor Artificial is a fixed-scope AI studio (RAG, agents, evals, web/ops, and quant trading engineering). We are not Harbor Cloud, tryharbor.ai, or Protected Harbor. Contact harborartificial@pm.me.
When do I pay?
Work starts after payment clears. Most catalog packages use 50% deposit at checkout and 50% final when finished — before source/code handoff. Workflow Agent (P3) and Internal Dashboard (P9) use 40/30/30 (mid invoice auto at mid-review). Quant packages (P13–P15 and flagship P17 Apex Institutional Quant) are 100% upfront at checkout when bought alone. Custom Bundles use 50/50 of the discounted total even if quant is included. Blueprint sign-off authorizes build; final pay authorizes code release.
What is written acceptance?
Every package ships against a short “done means…” checklist you agree up front. Acceptance is pass/fail on that list — not open-ended polish. You also get a handoff runbook covering environment, rebuild, and known limits.
How do change orders work?
Anything outside the checklist is a written change order with price and timing before extra work begins. Silence is not approval — we will ask.
What does the 14-day bugfix cover?
Fourteen days on delivered scope after you accept in writing. We fix defects in agreed behavior; new features are change orders.
What does Harbor refuse?
We pass on HIPAA or clinical work, regulated finance systems of record, realtime voice products, and open-ended founding-engineer retainers. Better to know early.
